Primes, Synthesis, and Transmutation!

Everything old is new again!

Synthesis is out. Transmutation is (back) in! Gone are the days of sitting in a lab for hours to synthesise and transmutate.

For Transmutation
-----------------
- You may now extract minerals directly from locations where once were alchemical primes with EXTRACT <mineral>. See the Extraction ability in Transmutation.

- MINERALS will reveal the minerals, if any, available in a room. You will need to get out and explore to find which areas contain which minerals!

- You no longer have need of alchemical metals to ply your trade. The alchemical laboratories will no longer provide non-Alchemists with reactants for metallurgy.

- If you cannot or will not find a location to extract a given mineral, you may now transmutate one mineral to another, for instance using TRANSMUTATE 15 BISEMUTUM TO CUPRUM to turn 15 Bisemutum into Cuprum. See the Transmutate ability in the Transmutation skill for details. Transmutation requires a lab, as before, and also transmutation reactants.

- City transmutationists (those with the skill) will be provided with a monthly stipend of 200 transmutation reactants. These are stocked within the lab work spaces each month and you need not request them - simply begin transmutation and you will make use of your stipend.

- You must provide reactants for additional transmutations yourself. Additional reactants are available from the alchemists staffing Cauda Pavonis-affiliated laboratories for 2000 golden sovereigns per vial. Use FILL <vial> WITH REACTANTS to purchase. Note: Transmutation reactants cannot be stored in personal rifts or in tuns.

- For a limited time, the Cauda Pavonis will accept (1000) alchemical prime and (2000) metal stockpiles from merchants in exchange for transmutation reactants. Use FILL <vial> WITH REACTANTS FOR <prime>.

For Alchemists
--------------
- Metallurgy has regained its rightful place in the Alchemy skill, allowing you to REDUCE <#> <metal> FROM <mineral> to produce alchemical metals for etherchannel, etc. REDUCE <metal> will remind you which metals may be reduced from which minerals.

- The Primes ability has been added to the Alchemy skill, allowing you to ISOLATE <#> <prime> FROM <metal>< to produce alchemical primes for germination, revivification etc. ISOLATE <prime> will remind you which primes can be reduced from which metals.
