Ode

Every Hero has her ending,
Every dog will have its day,
The fireflies are still a dancin',
Where our melee used to play.

Graceful, tender, violent feathers,
Flitting across the sun-filled sky,
The druid, the summoner, the master caster,
Remember the Fighter who helped us fly.

Triumphant paean and cruel strikes,
Dancing with blades in Ki's light,
Teacher and mentor, Killer of Fervour,
Remember the Man who brought the Blight.

Heavy burdens and tired shoulders,
Loyal and true, he's ground to the dust,
A fighter's legacy began at a Boulder,
Remember the Hand who moved the Past.

A shriek, a flutter, a clever twist,
The Batman is here, so don't run away,
The tales he wove were not just a list,
Remember the Assassin who killed for the pay.

Every Villain has his ending,
Every dog has had its day,
The dead are gone, the daisies are wilting,
When none are left, whom shall stay?

I.N.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Tenebrae, in the year 115 AM.
