The empire

Imperator,

Though I am sure whoever you think you're refering to is inordinately smug to have drawn such critical notice from your most esteemed personage, I feel obligated to interject.

The idea that any one person is capable of foiling your empire is rather foolish; indeed, I fear the only one man or woman capable of such a thing would first have to be sitting in your very own throne. Historically, this appears to stand true. Nevertheless, let us assume that you have the best interests of your organisation at heart. It seems a reasonable--though perhaps optamistic--assumption.

So, on to the quality of your soldiers. I shall grant you, I have been somewhat impressed by some of your young the last few months; their persistence when throwing themselves at their foes is admirable. Whether it is tenacity or recklessness remains to be seen, however. Let us revisit that in a year or so. Perhaps by then they will even be soldiers in another's army. However, I shall close with a casual observation. If you tend to produce such quality individuals from the imperial war machine, I think the author of the post following your own may need reprocessing. He seems to be slightly disfunctional.

Sincerely, with highest regards,

Septus, a humble scribe of Antioch

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Tenebrae, in the year 60 AM.
