Poetry News Post #986

Writer's block

Written by: Ray of Hope, Lynn Artan

Addressed to: Everyone

Bring me the yellowed parchment
so that we may set the stage
for the task we will embark upon
On the last, the lonely page

Single in solidity
can never pray to be
as unapproachable in continuity
Though why I cannot believe
It is not so

Belief is opportunity
It is not so

Belief fell out of the community
Let it be
It is not so!

The aimless front, the green, embroidered cover
set the stage, earned the wage
considerable in its part brother
The animus blank page
Foreshadowing
An ode to thee.

For those of you I cannot see
fill the scene I do not know
how can I conceive it if
I grasp, I revel, I do not grow

Everything is so fuzzy now
Years are days that fly as they go

Everything goes by so fast
Let it last
An ode to thee.

Leatherbound and the binding glue
holding the spine to the first and final
covering the secrets, the secret proof
To keep the audience ignorant of the crime

There is no difference
being with others around
no sense of accomplishment
can gain this type of ground
It is not so

Imagination gains circumference

I tell myself it is not so

Imagination is a choice

Sea breeze and the ocean scent
reminds me of all the smiles that shine
like all the times we came and went
As ships passing in the night

Let this be
My testimony to thee.

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Aequitas, in the year 138 AM.
