Him

Once upon a time there was a man.
Some would tell you he was bad,
For others he could do no wrong.
I wish I could remember how I felt.
There were times I wanted to kill him,
And others where he meant the world.
He knew me in a way few others did.
Sometimes he would rile me like no other,
Then he would stand by my side,
Comfort me whilst I screamed and wept.
Time and time again he told me loved me,
That I was the most precious one.
However I knew that I wasn't the only one.
Never will I be able to figure him out.
Was everything about him a lie?
Or were there moments that were real?
This man, he has gone now.
Somedays his legacy lives on,
Other days it's like he never existed.
But there is one thing that I know.
Right now, I miss him.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Ultio, in the year 620 AD.
