Absence for Surgery

Good morning everyone,

It's 12:45am here, and I'm not going to be able to eat or drink anything for the next 13 hours or more. I've got a surgery scheduled for 11am to remove a bone spur inside my ankle joint. Side effect of the reconstructive surgery on my left lower leg/ankle, it's basically like having no cartilage cushion between the bones in the joint. Grinding bone on bone certainly doesn't feel good, it's actually excruciatingly painful to walk or even move the joint (hence the large amount of narcotics I presently exist on).

So, with two plates and twelve screws already in the lower leg holding it all together, I'm beginning to feel a bit like a bionic man, but I'm hoping not to need any further metal implanted into my body, so do please join me in prayer for no further problems or complications with all this. Thankfully, it's all covered by workers' comp and I've got lifetime medical coverage for this injury.

However, I'm working on beginning a portrait (and eventually wedding, provided my leg strength returns) photography business, so I really need my legs back in as-close-to-full functioning order again ASAP, so here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

Depending on how drugged I am after the surgery, and how the recovery goes, I may be entirely absent for the next few days. Enjoy your Katarsh-free time.
