Organization-Owned Designs

Hey there. I just wanted to draw attention to one very helpful facet of our Tradeskill system which hasn't been getting much attention in my posts: OrgOwned designs. As part of the design creation and approval process, a Crafter is able to flag his or her design as belonging to a specific organization. If the Trade Approval guild agrees that there's a strong enough tie between the design and the organization, it gets approved as an OrgOwned Design.

What does this mean? Essentially, any Crafter in that organization (anything but a clan) now has access to that design for manual crafting and sale in organizational shops. The design appears in each member's DESIGN LIST with all the benefits. If the original designer quits or goes inactive, the design persists. Rather than placing the burden on one guild/city/sect/whathaveyou designer for design utilization and upkeep, the system allows all the organization's crafters to utilize and refresh the design.

How to use it? When setting all the details like "appearance," simply DESIGN <design #> SET ORGOWNED <organization>. It'll appear in your design readout for the Craft Guild to take into consideration, much like they would a custom design.

If there are any pre-conversion designs you'd like to see flagged as OrgOwned designs, feel free to send me a message with design numbers and a short explanation of why it's important to your org. I'll get you set up!

Eusto
