Greetings to everyone,

The Iron Ivy Teahouse (v3683) in Esterport is sponsoring a Poetry Reading Night! Bring all your wit and creativity to share with the world and win prizes too!

Each Poetry Night at the Teahouse has a theme, and our current theme is holidays. The two acceptable topics are Celesmas or New Year celebrations!

How this works:
Submit your entry or entries while observing the rules below before the deadline and the renowned panel of judges will judge your poetry using a grading rubric.

Scores will be given to the host and will not be announced until after each participating poet has had a chance to perform/read their poem aloud!

(Note 1: If a participating poet entered more than one poem, they will be contacted regarding which one they should read at the Poetry Reading Night.)

(Note 2: The grading rubric is available for anyone to checkout, upon request. However, in summary, poems will be judged on the following categories: writing process/effort, title, neatness, style, and vocabulary. Each category has four levels!)

Entry Rules:
- It must be a limerick
- Vulgarity is accepted for amusement and reading aloud, but only appropriate language for channels can be awarded a win
- You may submit multiple entries, but only one may win
- Must be sent to Zaila or Aloli before the deadline in a message or letter.

Prizes and date will be posted in a public ad. Prize pool continues to grow!
Entry deadline: 24th of Lleian, 470 MA, roughly at midnight.

Poetry Reading Night is 16th of Niuran, 470 MA, roughly at night.

Note: A limerick is humorous, sometimes bawdy, verses of three long and two short lines rhyming aabba. That is to say, the first, second and fifth lines are longer, and rhyme together while the third and fourth lines rhyme together and are shorter than the rest.

Iron Ivy Poetry Night Judge Panel:
Cariv!
Lexen!
Zaila!
Arafel!

Work your best to impress them! Good luck!

"Meet the Judges" poster will be hanging at the Iron Ivy Teahouse soon.

If you have any questions about the process, entry, dates or prizes please contact me directly.

See you there!

Penned by my hand on Tisday, the 8th of Khepary, in the year 470 MA.
