Following the events of the Neicel Arget political summit on the Dehkay Plateau, rumours of Dreikathi interest in the purchase of dragon eggs filtered their way into the south. A few weeks after the close of the discussions, a terrible torrent of breaking ice and shattering rock was heard, and upon congregating on the Northern Tundra shore, a party of Enorianites and a handful of other citizens of Sapience were greeted by the bloodied, wounded form of Talon Reneshfi, who declared that her mother, the Sun Drinker of Grecht legend, was awake and rampant. After murdering Consul Feiciheix of the Dreikathi who sought her eggs, the great dragon proceeded south to Sapience, devouring the Talon and several onlookers before frantic efforts at conversation bore fruit and Tanixalthas deigned to speak with them.

The demands of the great elder wyrm were quite straightforward: tribute and obedience from the 'lesser creatures' of Sapience. Although a handful of offerings were swiftly presented, many of those present defied the beast, asserting that the people of Sapience would resist any tyrant. Seemingly amused, the dragon tolerated this banter awhile before becoming bored, and at the clever hinting of Tirria, Tanixalthas took to the sky to challenge Yudhishthira of Polyargos to mortal combat.

The battle was fierce and bloody, setting the forest of Scidve aflame and killing more than one onlooker, but ultimately, despite the intervention of Plato of the Illuminai, the red dragon was slain and Tanixalthas laid claim to his territory - the entirety of Sapience. The intercession of Lord Severn and Lord Slyphe managed to convince the beast to put aside her demands of tribute for the moment, and she soon departed for destinations unknown. Many report sighting her en route towards Asper, but these stories have yet to be confirmed for truth.

Penned by my hand on Kinsday, the 6th of Khepary, in the year 455 MA.
