The skies above the Tarea Mountains darkened as the Carnifex searched
for a replacement for Roan Seluno. Who better, they thought, than the
Wraithlord who cheated Death and learned the very arts the Carnifex
practice this day in the Abyss beside Roan?

Nearly a year before, the Wraithlord was able to escape the Abyss
through a tear the Goddess of Corruption had rended there in Her brief
stay. He manifested in a suit of armor, created by the Underking, and
harassed Enorian for quite a time. He appeared immortal, constantly
manifesting himself into the armor each time he was defeated. Twice the
Enorianites destroyed him, and twice he appeared. His luck seemed to
have ran out when the Underking himself donned the armor of his
creation, preventing Gruxmal from regenerating within it.

Lacking a source of power to manifest in, the Wraithlord aimlessly
roamed the lands until the Carnifex took up the task of creating a
massive soulstone out of the corpses of innumerable fallen enemies. The
Wraithlord was drawn to the soulstone and his power chipped away at the
stone as the Carnifex emptied their soul energy into the mass, until
naught was left but an impressive suit of armor. Gruxmal immediately
possessed the armor, rising up to stand before them.

Moirean, Toz and Tsvanni all battled the massive Wraithlord, proving to
him that the Carnifex were worthy of his time and consideration. They
succeeded in proving their mettle, and now Gruxmal stands beside them,
ready to usher in a whole new generation of Carnifex soldiers. Who knows
what plans they have in store next?
