The War

Greetings Herald of the Outer Cold,

Let me start by congratulating you on your prowess as a warrior, your individual accomplishments during this war are impressive. You are a talented hunter and assassin and have found many of our soldiers "easy pickings".

Individual grandstanding aside, in the scale of a war, your order is unfortunately too small to be of consequences to us. When our soldiers gather on the battlefield to strike at you, you are nowhere to be found, or your few members are safely cuddled up within your foul caverns. There are few targets to strike at, so we destroy your shrines, sometimes we take it out on the city that harbour you even though the city is not our target for this war. Mostly we carry on with our regular lives.

There seems to be little that can be accomplished in this war, your order is too small for an army to strike at and those of us with skill enough to fight you are not bothered by your efforts. On the grand scale you cannot accomplish anything of meaning, while you present few targets to strike at.

The War is however meaningful by taking a stand, taking a stand against what you and your order represents, for all the world to see. You are a plague that must be eradicated, and we will stand against you.
