Yesod

Forestals have said for ages that we come from Nature, and thus we have a bond with Nature. Nature gives us life, so we must protect it. This bond is often treated as a literary device, something used when communicating our beliefs and values but without much depth.

I was a devout follower of the Lady of the River, and through her teachings, I learned much about the ebb and flow of Nature, the thrumming beat of change each moment brings. But our time together was cut short by Bal'met, and my passion for delving deeper into the mysteries of Nature was replaced by sorrow.

After Her passing from this world, I grew frustrated at my own surface-level understanding of our bond with Nature. Without my Lady to bring these concerns to, I slept and dreamed for years, hoping for a deeper comprehension.

Recently, while sleeping, it has been revealed to me that there is a force, Yesod, binding each of us to the spirit of Nature. This link is not merely metaphorical but is spiritual and unseverable. All of us, from the Druids of Eleusis even to the Necromancers of Mhaldor, have this intrinsic, undeniable, metaphysical link to Nature.

Recognizing this connection is but the first step on my journey, I awoke from my slumber excited to embrace this path and studying Yesod, hoping to bring my spirit into further union with Nature Itself.

I would welcome any and all who would tread on this path alongside me.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Sarapin, in the year 765 AF.
