Sapience, understand this, these 'emissaries' seek to 'repair' the core within each of the conduits, and to do so would give their Elemental lords control over the conduits once again. They seem to be hinting towards gaining an upper hand on our plane, as several have made mentions of 'expanding' their influence and power. As was stated by one of the Emissaries: "The flame must obey the fire. Until it does, your plane is unworthy. Unfit for consumption."

Make of it what you will, but perhaps for once we should not rush to assist a new unknown group with unclear motives, just because they asked us to..
