Transcript of the meeting held by Nissa regarding current events

Written by: Vespertine Verse Solfege Ashaela, Librarian of the Court
Date: Monday, November 27th, 2017
Addressed to: Everyone

Greetings, everyone.

This is a transcript of the meeting held at the Hall of Histories
by Nissa, the head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum. It has been
edited to focus on the main discussion. It had gone on for a long
while and I had missed the exact date, so I shall date it as
late Phaestian-early Chronos 757 AF.

I understand that there have been other major events since then,
but I believe having the transcript available to all may assist in
how we deal with this as a continent.

---

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum shouts, "To
those who believe they hold knowledge regarding the elemental
planes, I would speak with you in the Hall of Histories."

{At the Hall of Histories}

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says,
"If you have naught to offer but curiosity, you are welcome, but
bear in mind this many voices and foibles in a small space will
become difficult to keep track of."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "I
trust if you are here you have an interest in the subject, so
I assume you have read the findings on Jeramun from some years ago."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Krypton,
I hear that you uncovered the horn of tides in recent days, would
you share with us what you have learned, if anything?"

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "The vigil
consists of various denizens across this planet, who have been
monitoring the balance of the Elements since the passing of Lord Agatheis."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "With Jeramun's
release from his confines, it is imperative for the other three
Elementals once brought to this plane by the Aldar Dekalb, to be
summoned, in the fashion the Water conduit, the Sorceress of the
Sea, has been."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "That will,
with luck, establish elemental Balance once more."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "At the time the
clue for summoning the Sorceress - the "sound of gold" - the vigil's
research had not yet uncovered the means to reach and bring forth the
Air and Earth elemental."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "That is the extent
of my experience."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Does
anyone else have anything to add to that? Or perhaps a bow at hand
with which to shoot kestrels from the sky?"
(Note: There was quite a lot of mail being delivered to attendees.)

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "I could throw my scythe
really hard at them."

Kasa says in a deep, commanding voice, "I have questions, but no
answers."

Ozmatiah says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian
Athenaeum, "The request was to Krypton, for what he had learned,
I dare think I could add to his first hand account."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Please do."

Ozmatiah says, "What I mean is,that what he saw is real, and
genuine. The rest of us are bare witness to his and others accounts,
and left to the speculation of the absence of Lord Agatheis, and the
Elemental Realms."

Kasa looks surprised and says in a deep, commanding voice, "He means
he dare not, I think."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "A
confirmation of account then, fair enough."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "At a
glance, the logic appears sound. We know that the Aldar builder
Dekalb summoned four elementals to Achaea when the world was built.
It is a simple leap of assumption to think that these four are the
conduits, reinforced by Jeramun's confirmed status."

Aegoth says, "How do we even know that summoning these cnduits is
the best idea? How do we know that the "Vigil" are who they claim
they are? You've all been duped before, and Thoth died as a result."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "You are
getting ahead of the process, Aegoth. First we must lay out all we
know before we can examine our assumptions."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "But I can
understand the frustration."

Kasa says in a deep, commanding voice, "Like you have a leg to stand on,
Mhaldorian. You and your ilk caused a massacre of Gods."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Does a
nyone dare to speculate on what purpose these four elementals served
for Dekalb to summon them?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "He summoned them before the
Chaos Wars, correct?"

Zenui says, "The simple truth is also that there's no path forward
without risk."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Perhaps he meant for them to
fight in the war."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "When the
world was made."

Ozmatiah says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum,
"Are there some answers in these mysteries that someone like Miss
Eloeth could assist in answering. Her knowledge on the elements
should rival very few."

Accipiter says in an almost silent voice, "I assume that they don't
all join together in one massive elemental to rival even the elder
gods, right?"

Zenui says, "Risk with only two of them summoned, risk with all of them
summoned. No way around that."

Shirszae says with a faded Kamleikanese accent, "...Instruments of war
is the most plausible guess. Though they could have been meant to reshape
the world in a way more pleasant to the Aldar too, perhaps."

Kasa says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum in a
deep, commanding voice, "Purely assumption, but I would surmise that
the world was incomplete, perhaps even slipping apart, without the
influence of the Elements - they are in everything. We Mortals are
comprised of them, for example, and useless without them. A conduit moves
energy, does it not? So, perhaps they move such energy here."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Should
Miss Eloeth deign to offer her expertise, I am sure she would be
listened to. But we shall not put her upon the rack and force her
to speak, the library lacks the implements to do so."

Aegoth says, "Agatheis was obsessed with balance."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "At the time of their summoning
Agatheis was still alive, if about to betray Proteus."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "The name conduit
does suggest your theory, Kasa."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "So perhaps he summoned them to
act in place of Agatheis if he fell during the war? Going with Kasa's
idea."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Jeramun's armour was crafted to
protect his flame, and to protect the world. It was obvious, the Aldar
knew the dangers he was working with, meaning he had to be in a
desperate spot. A weapon, sounds most reasonable."

Ozmatiah says, "I shall place my trust in the Mistress of the Elements.
Thank you Nissa."

Penwize says, "I had a thought recently, when considering Teneb's
description of the planes and outer circles. He wrote that the Prime
is in the center, surrounded by similar Prime-like planes, connected
by the Astral plane, and adjacent to the elemental planes, didn't he?"

Kasa says in a deep, commanding voice, "That is the basis of Planar
Physics."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "Akin to Kasa's
thoughts, perhaps no Plane is capable of building with the Elements,
having the elements present in harmony, without conduit representatives
from each Elemental Planes."

Taryius says to Krypton with a Blackrock accent, "If even said
conduits are dormant? As many of these beings seem to be?"

Penwize says, "Planes encroach upon and bleed into eachother,
don't they? Just, in general. Perhaps the conduits were meant to act
as a living anchor to ensure this Prime plane wasn't too far influenced
by one plane or another?"

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "Neither Jeramun
nor the Sorceress have been dormant."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "If Dekalb knew of Agatheis'
betrayal, perhaps he summoned them to act in His place, so that way
the balance would be maintained in the absence of that specific Divine?"

Shirszae says with a faded Kamleikanese accent, "...Jeramun was not
dormant, but the armour seems to have kept him in perhaps a similar
state, as far as his powers are concerned."

Torinn says in a calm, baritone voice, "I also had a thought.. priests
are capable of forging conduits to the four elements, but also a conduit
to a fifth, known as Spirit. I've wondered if that will play into this at all or if it's completely unrelated even though the technique for opening
it is similar."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "The events post says that Dekalb
summoned them to assist in his works, since he summoned them before
Agatheis had mastery over the Elemental Lords."

Penwize says, "That's sort of why I'm suggesting their function as
stabilizing anchors, aye."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Very well then,
for now we have two theories, the conduits afford some tie to the elements
upon this plane, anchoring emissaries from the elemental planes. Or the
conduits were summoned as weapons."

Kasa says in a deep, commanding voice, "Neither contradicts the other."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "The naming does
lend itself to the former theory, but it is undeniable that they are
powerful entities."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "It could be both? Serving to anchor
the realm while rising to be weapons if need be?"

Penwize says, "If they were summoned as weapons, I'd question why Jeramun's
armour's removal has empowered, rather than weakened him."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "It could be,
but we have no more information either way, so let us not go around and
around with supposition."

Shirszae says with a faded Kamleikanese accent, "...The armour seems to
have been a much a form of binding as protection."

Kasa says in a deep, commanding voice, "Would you not seek to control your
weapon?"

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "What is known
about these Vigil people?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "They like riddles."

Aegoth says, "Why don't we ask that other Aldar.. Han-whatever. The one
with the dragon. He probably knows about Dekalb and his machinations."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Han-Tolneth?"

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "They mentioned being oppressed by
the Elemental Lords."

Aegoth says, "Whatever his name is."

Shirszae looks thoughtful and says with a faded Kamleikanese accent,
"...Thats a fair idea."

Shirszae says with a faded Kamleikanese accent, "...Assuming he feels like
talking."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "If you can
persuadean Aldar to do as you wish, you are welcome to try."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "I have found
that they tend to do as suits themselves."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "As is often the
case with creatures of their age and power."

Aegoth says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum, "Whatever happened to asking really nicely, huh?"

Penwize says, "Han-Tolneth's elemental abilities are rather impressive, if
I recall correctly."

Aralaya says to Aegoth in a soft, soprano voice, "Asking nicely does not
include Holocausts."

Penwize says, "I seem to recall him impaling quite a few people on javelins
of ice."

Aegoth says, "Balderdash."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "Their origin and
organisation are a mystery to me. They are sworn to secrecy as to the who
else is part of their collective."

Zenui says, "Hal-Silnar, I think you might have meant."

Kasa says in a deep, commanding voice, "And to whom did you speak,
Krypton?"

Shevonne says in a sweet, feminine voice, "It's too bad Lord Agatheis is no
longer with us."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "The sender of the six
city missives."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "What of this 'Ivory Lighthouse'...
How does this relate to them? A symbol, a base of operations."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "I inquired on the
importance of their lighthouse symbol, I do not have an answer."

Aegoth says, "It is symbolic of their vigil to maintain balance, as
signified by the equidistant beams of light eminating from the lighthouse."

Aegoth says, "A child could gather that."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "It does not
appear to correlate with any geographical location, so perhaps it is
symbolic, indeed."

Kasa says to Krypton in a deep, commanding voice, "Do you have no name for
this person who sent out these letters?"

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "It may also
speak to a tie to some tower structure."

Rotose's breath scorches the air as he says, "Ivory tower?"

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "As much as I loathe to do this, we
were asked to work as a continent. The now abandoned lighthouse on Minos is
crafted of ivory-colored stone. That Island is also home to a mage quite
fond of elementals."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Perhaps a correlation."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "If the order exists all over the
world, it is possible the lighthouse lies somewhere we have never
discovered."

Penwize says, "Taryius Quite fond of is a bit of an understatement. Place
crawls with elementals."

Shirszae says with a faded Kamleikanese accent, "...You are assuming it is
a literal Lighthouse."

Aegoth says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum,
"Insid'ari Kiet and Warden Alrena already went to their lighthouse, and
Mhaldor has been named as their ambassadors to the world."

Taryius says to Shirszae with a Blackrock accent, "You are assuming it
isn't. Neither is known, and either could be correct."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Then there is
someone of theirs who has spoken. Do we have a name?"

Aegoth says, "No name that they provided."

Penwize says, "Who spoke, then?"

Aegoth says, "A representative from this "Vigil". The Insid'ari made a
public post about it. It is how we got the clue about the Sea Witch."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "The contact is the court
conjuror of Zanzibaar, Tiamenjiara."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Huh."

Melodie says with a flowing, cultured accent, "We spoke with her. Wasn't
chatty at the time."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "It does not
give us much in the way of information at this time, but might be useful as
things progress."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Do you trust
these Vigil, and if not, what are the options?"

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "Before or after she gave
the Insid'ari Ambassadorship?"

Melodie says with a flowing, cultured accent, "Before."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Personally, I don't really think we
have another option. Whether we trust them or not we've already got two
rampaging conduits on our hands."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "I'm sure this 'Vigil' is quite
reserved on talking about themselves to just anyone. Otherwise, we'd have
heard tell of them in the last century."

Accipiter says in an almost silent voice, "Just avoid them, the forestals
are good at putting out fires and everything will sort itself out."

Aegoth says, "It seems that we are, once again, leaping to assist alien
entities whom refuse to give us candid information, simply for the sake of
taking whatever bait they lure us with. Jeramun runs rampant, and magically
these mysterious entities appear, offering a solution? Are we suddenly all
braindead?"

Mercer says to Aegoth, "Thank you."

Rasui says in a silvery voice, "Here is a question... who are the enemies
of the Vigil?"

Accipiter says in an almost silent voice, "Us!"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "It is not a good solution, but what
other option do we have. The conduits are impervious to our attacks and, at
least Jeramun, is rampaging across Sapience burning as he goes."

Daeir says, "The Commandant is not entirely wrong. Who is to say what
indulging the further summoning of these conduits will result in?"

Daeir says, "Conversely, if we do nothing, what will that result in?"

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "There is a
problem and they offer a solution, which is useful. But we do not know what
ends their solution may serve."

Aegoth says, "Just because we have no other option right now doesn't mean
we cannot find one, instead of running blindly like some love-starved siren
into the arms of her abusive ex-lover."

Daeir says, "One thing is certain - following the Vigil's instruction will
lead to more titanic elemental presences upon the Prime, for better or
worse."

Penwize says, "If we had any way of making the elemental conduits
acknowledge our presence and actually respond, we'd be able to ask them
ourselves. We know Jeramun at least speaks - he shouted when he broke free
from his armour."

Penwize says, "But they both seem exceptionally ... indifferent to our
presence."

Aegoth says, "Perhaps feeding him some holocausts would make him more
talkative."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Or get you killed."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Either way, it's a win."

Taryius says to Penwize with a Blackrock accent, "Well, I imagine you are
but a fly in their presence. Why would they acknowledge us?"

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Are the conduits meant to bring
balance back to our plane, or the elemental planes? They are rather rocked
with civil war at the moment."

Andrasi says in a singsong voice, "Has there been anything seen or heard of
the earth titan since the elemental channel disruption?"

Nomas says in a thick, melodic voice, "I'd move out of the way of a swarm
of flies."

Shirszae says with a faded Kamleikanese accent, "...They seem more inclined
to swatting all the flies at once."

Taryius says to Nomas with a Blackrock accent, "If I was a raging ball of
elemental fire. I wouldn't."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Which side of
this cooperate or confound line you fall upon appears to be a personal
decision for each of you, but it is worth considering both aspects."

Aegoth says, "I think the best thing to do is get more information, and
frankly the only beings that would have it are the other Aldar that still
exist."

Aegoth says, "Whether or not their words are to be trusted..."

Aegoth says, "But it will open another option."

Rasui says in a silvery voice, "Has anyone ever banished a conduit that we
know of?"

Penwize says, "Gods, it's awkward hearing Aegoth say something that's
actually agreeable."

Daeir says to Penwize, "Most unnerving. Dire times."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "And yet he still managed to fit
holocausting everything into his statements."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "I think in this
circumstance we were all unaware of the existence of a conduit feature
until most recent months."

Mercer says, "More unnerving to hear myself pubically agree with him. But I
do."

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "Pubically eh?"

Taryius says to Rasui with a Blackrock accent, "Banished, I doubt. But it
is clear whatever happened to these beings, whether by their choice or
force, has put them into some sort of slumber or dormancy. Only makes sense
if we have to awaken them once more."

Krypton says to Salisa in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "Do you have a
recollection what Tiamenjiara said about the fighting between the four
elements?"

Daeir says, "It is said by some that Jeramun mourns, or seems caught in the
throes of grief. Do we know why?"

Salisa says in a whimsical voice, "Seems like she was inferring that with
the departure of Lord Agatheis..and now some time past there is an
unbalance between the elements."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Perhaps he sees the legions of
earth, water and fire ravaging his home plane."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "I'm guessing that he can feel the
loss of his brethren on the Plane of Fire."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Stuck here while there's a war at
home?"

Aegoth says to Daeir, "I'd be pretty sad too if my shiny, super-powered
armour was gon."

Penwize says to Daeir, "He began to stir after a particularly violent
episode was seen through deathsight, upon the plane of fire."

Aralaya says to Aegoth in a soft, soprano voice, "He melted it though."

Taryius says to Aegoth with a Blackrock accent, "Super-tight restricting
armour."

Aegoth says, "The best kind."

Penwize says to Daeir, "I presume he mourns for their loss."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Wasn't into bondage anymore, I
guess."

Daeir says, "And these conduits, are they dormant upon our plane as Jeramun
was? Was the Sorceress brought here, or simply raised?"

Rasui says in a silvery voice, "I think, perhaps, how they were put into
slumber may be something to look into. As well as what enemies the Vigil
hides from with their secrecy."

Salisa says to Krypton in a whimsical voice, "Direct quote was 'Gone is the
king and with it the balance, eroded over a dozen decades of turmoil'"

Taryius says to Daeir with a Blackrock accent, "She rose from the ocean
floor."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Dekalb summoned four elementals, we
can assume those four are the conduits."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Dekalb brought Jeruman here, why
not the others?"

Penwize says, "Which ... come to think of it, if the elemental planes are
at war, could the imbalance therein be threatening our own?"

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "It may be that
the various dormancies and imprisonments maintain the elemental balance for
this world, the elemental wars disturbing the state."

Daeir says, "Risen, then. Curious. That would imply that the Air and Earth
paragons are similarly dormant."

Aralaya says to Penwize in a soft, soprano voice, "Clearly it is, those of
use tied to the elements have felt the disruptions."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "The Sorceress has been
hunting ships in our seas for a great deal of time."

Andrasi says in a singsong voice, "I believe Earth stirred already."

Salisa says to Rekken in a whimsical voice, "Dekalb brought four elemental
beings into existence, and with his death they were tied to the Prime
Plane."

Elisella says softly to Daeir with a lilting Haraekanewa accent, "And
likely bound opposite of one another, just as they were similarly
juxtaposed with the Elemental Lord's crown."

Zenui looks sceptical and says, "Stirred, but where."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "While it's only had minor effects
here, likely the effects of the war will drastically increase over time."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "Horald and Garick can
attest to that, as can the villagers of Ka'doloki's warning tales of
meeting her."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "A stone giant was slain by some
being.. The mage of Minos has similar giants under his command."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Are we sure that was on the prime
though?"

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Elementals the mage summoned. These
giants we saw defeated were likely on their home plane as opposed to ours."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "We don't."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "If Arsentar is
not involved, it might be best to not add extra mad magi to the mix."

Zenui says, "It also seemed it was on a lofty roost."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "So that is a
risk you can take upon yourselves."

Andrasi says in a singsong voice, "The crash of it being destroyed was
accompanied by a feeling of wrongness through the Earth elemental channel."

Aralaya says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum in a
soft, soprano voice, "You're adding Aegoth to the mix."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Sure. The earth plane suffered a
loss, so our connection was disrupted."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "This has happened before with other
planes, as well, even before Jeruman was released."

Zenui says, "So possibly just a coincidence."

Taryius says to Rekken with a Blackrock accent, "That would be the war
we've been talking about."

Andrasi says in a singsong voice, "Mm. I thought it might've been
different. Not the crash of a channel exploding."

Taryius says to Rekken with a Blackrock accent, "The Lords of each plane
are fighting for the crown left behind with Lord Agatheis death."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Before we begin
to circle the drain of thought, let us focus upon Jeramun himself. Who has
observed his movement, can anything be gleaned from the process?"

Rekken says to Myna in a deep, resonant voice, "Point is that looking to
the deaths we perceive as clues is probably fruitless."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "I believe he is moving towards the
Flame of Yggdrasil."

Andrasi says in a singsong voice, "He's too far south. Unless he's taking a
circular route."

Aegoth says, "He moved from the Siroccians to the Savanna."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Which would make sense, considering
the flame was crafted by Lord Agatheis and probably has a similar
connection to elemental fire which Jeramun has."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "He's seeking the sanguine pique
that smells of inflamed iron."

Aegoth says, "It is toward the Flame."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "What is
sanguine pique that smells of inflamed iron? Pique suggests rage or anger."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Is that a
phrase that means anything to anyone?"

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Sounded like lava to me."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "There is a Volcano on Meropis."

Gloern says, "That smells of inflamed iron.. a forge?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "At least, a caldera of one."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "There are pools of lava
in the Aalen."

Prythe says in a firm, but gentle voice, "Sanguine has quite the opposite
feel, however."

Aeryllin says in a mellifluous voice, "Sanguine reminds one of blood, and
blood also tastes of iron."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "There is a lava
field in Ashtan, yet he moved by the city."

Elisella says softly with a lilting Haraekanewa accent, "The Fire behind
the Flame upon Nishnatoba."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Or the Flame of Yggdrasil."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Sounds like Eleusian mumbo-jumbo."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Is the fire
behind the flame upon Nishnatoba? I was unaware that the battleground held
such a thing."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "That is how Bal'met attacked the
Fire behind the Flame, correct?"

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Blood doesn't taste of inflamed
iron, though, just iron."

Penwize says, "The Fire Behind the Flame is ... beyond reality, as far as
I'm aware."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Even if he was seeking the Fire
behind the Flame, would the Flame not be an access point?"

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "One I assume he can manipulate."

Elisella says softly with a lilting Haraekanewa accent, "If he's looking
for fuel, perhaps to return to the Elemental Plane and assert dominance, I
can think of no greater source."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Although, I don't think Jeramun
would want to mess with Ayar-now-Sarapis."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "And he is guarding the Fire behind
the Flame."

Accipiter says in an almost silent voice, "How long would it take the world
tree to burn down if the flame conduit set it alight?"

Salisa says to Aralaya in a whimsical voice, "You think he is even aware of
such? He seems to move on instinct not logic."

Aralaya says to Salisa in a soft, soprano voice, "This is true."

Taryius says to Aralaya with a Blackrock accent, "Are we sure Jeramun knows
this? Perhaps he seeks to return home to assist with the war and needs the
Flame to do that?"

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "He might be heading to Polyargos."

Solfege says thoughtfully in a lilting, silken-soft voice, "A pique,
though.. it has limited meanings, as a noun."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Further throwing our need for him
away."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "If we are to trust the Vigil, that
we 'need' him."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Ol' Yuds was rather interested in
releasing him, after all."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Before we lose
ourselves in discussion of semantics, what are our theories in brief?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Jeramun could be trying to get to
the Fire behind the Flame to try and return to the Plane of Fire to help in
the war?"

Aegoth says, "I am unsure there is a need to complicate things. Sanguine
whatever is meaningless. Track his movements. They point to the Flame of
Yggdrasil."

Shirszae says with a faded Kamleikanese accent, "...I do believe his
eventual goal is the Flame, even if he is doing a circuit now."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "They also point to Polyargos."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "The flame of
Yggdrasil, lava, and blood spilled?"

Rasui says in a silvery voice, "Something in the unmapped portion of
Meropis, perhaps?"

Taryius says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum with a
Blackrock accent, "I officially propose one theory, that he moves towards
the Flame for reasons unknown, but likely due to their shared connection to
elemental Fire and or Lord Agatheis."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Blood spilled could refer to the
death of his brothers in the war."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Whether an elemental has blood, I
don't know."

Aegoth says, "At his brisk and stalwart pace, it'll take him mere decades
to reach Meropis."

Penwize says, "Yggdrasil, it's connected to each of the Prime planes isn't
it?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "But it could just be how our minds
interpret it."

Salisa says to Penwize in a whimsical voice, "Believe so, yes."

Accipiter says to Aegoth in an almost silent voice, "He got down from his
old home in like a month?"

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Yggdrasil is
believed to connect all planes."

Aralaya says to Accipiter in a soft, soprano voice, "There's also an ocean
in the way."

Andrasi says to Aegoth in a singsong voice, "He did move from Riagath to
Aran'riod quite quickly."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "The ocean is a problem, for sure."

Penwize says, "It's connected at several points to each plane, too, if I'm
not mistaken."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Which would likely slow his
progress."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "That it is a
tree to us is suggested to be merely a matter of perception."

Gloern says, "Well, isn't Yggdrasil also on Meropis? I could be wrong."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "The Garden rests at the peak of
Yggdrasil correct?"

Prythe says to Aralaya in a firm, but gentle voice, "We have no reason to
believe anything can impede his progress, do we?"

Mercer says, "I'm having a hard time visualizing him traveling from
Sapience to Meropis across the ocean on his own."

Taryius says to Gloern with a Blackrock accent, "Why would he take the long
path to the same thing?"

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "It appears that
two of these theories for destination we can only observe and wait, those
inclined might wish to test the third."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Well, if we wait, who knows what
damage he could do if he reaches the Flame."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "If nothing else
but for elimination's sake."

Gloern says, "My point is, he could use Yggdrasil to travel to Meropis, if
somewhere on Meropis was his goal."

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "Didn't we establish he is angry
because he wants to go home?"

Taryius says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum with a
Blackrock accent, "If you are referring to spilled blood, I think he has
slain enough people to test that theory."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "That's our theory, at least."

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "And if the way home is by the Flame."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Has anyone paid
any attention to any correlation there, Taryius?"

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "Is it possible for us to draw him to
the Flame? The more people he kills, does he move quicker?"

Penwize says, "Wait, there aught to be a connection there no? Given that
deaths are what empowered the flames within tanks used in warfare,
shouldn't death have some resonance with Jeramun's fire?"

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Anyone? I have seen no reaction from
him."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "If he is drawn
to those that die to his ambience, he would not move."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Maybe he reacts to the deaths he
does not inflict himself?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Jeramun retreated to the vents
because the air made him uncomfortable, or wounded him, or something to
that effect."

Farrah says, "Does he spill their blood when he kills them? All I tend to
see is ash."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Perhaps dying gives him the
strength to move?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Us dying, that is."

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "Blood fuels his ability to move
perhaps?"

Andrasi says in a singsong voice, "He'd be drawn to the ocean, the
Sorceress caused more deaths than anything else in one fell swoop earlier
on."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "If pique
suggests anger or rage, it could be possible Rekken."

Penwize says, "That'd be consistent with the effects death has been
observed to have on Jeramun's flames."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "So, if we all went and died at the
Flame of Yggdrasil."

Prythe says in a firm, but gentle voice, "Yet again I note that 'sanguine'
reflects a different spirit."

Rekken looks thoughtful and says in a deep, resonant voice, "His trajectory
has been pretty consistent."

Taryius says to Aralaya with a Blackrock accent, "Well, I suppose the only
way to actually confirm anything is to have a good old sacrifice."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Mass sacrifice, preferably."

Rasui says in a silvery voice, "I am loathe to suggest it, but how does he
react if an efreeti is slain?"

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "But wait, Ashtan just raided
Targossas a few days ago. Wouldn't he be drawn there with all the deaths?"

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "Sanguine, inflamed iron,
and an "inferno" mentioned in the Events missive - maybe he wants a nice,
new, protective armour of bloodsteel."

Farrah says to Taryius, "You lot are good at that. We'll leave it in your
hands."

Accipiter says in an almost silent voice, "Well Mhaldor has all the
practice."

Accipiter says in an almost silent voice, "So go for it."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "I agree, Mhaldor has always been
good at dying."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "He move westward, not eastward,
after the raid."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "The deaths might fuel his progress,
but not influence his path."

Penwize says to Puxi, "Ashtan didn't raid Targossas Those deaths were
spread between the bog and outside Targossas."

Aralaya says to Penwize in a soft, soprano voice, "Semantics."

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "Well, we've done everything else so
for to get us to this point, we might as well do this too."

Penwize says, "No, an important geographic distinction."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Does anyone have a magical stick
that kills everyone in the room."

Accipiter says in an almost silent voice, "That is a ball."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "True."

Accipiter says in an almost silent voice, "Not a stick."

Penwize says, "Given a significant number of those deaths happened in the
bog, the pull would be toward there if there was one."

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "Semantics."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "I merely hope
to gather everyone's information so that we are all upon the same page,
even if everyone chooses to take a different direction from this meeting."

Taryius says to Penwize with a Blackrock accent, "Unfortunately, being
close to the Flame I doubt that would confirm either theory."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "All of the Magi walk in, create a
bunch of Holocausts, and then we all hope we aren't about to die for
nothing."

Andrasi says in a singsong voice, "Um, I'd suggest caution in lieu of
having to build a New New Thera..."

Prythe says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum in a
firm, but gentle voice, "That is quite kind of you."

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "Who wants to test some theories out?
I doubt one city dying would do it anything to give direction here."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Before everyone
departs, there is the Sorceress."

Aralaya frowns and says in a soft, soprano voice, "She hurts."

Puxi says in a mundanely mild voice, "I say we let Aegoth or another Magi
kill everyone here to see if that prompts any action."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "There are three Magi in the room
from what I can tell."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Has the sorceress been moving as
well?"

Andrasi says in a singsong voice, "Does anyone know of anyone who's been
out on the ocean since the Sorceress killed a whole group of people
earlier?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "There were people sailing near
her."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Fighting a seamonster."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "I don't know who they were though."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "She was
summoned forth to the waters off Ka'doloki with a horn?"

Taryius says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum with a
Blackrock accent, "Having died by the Sorceress' hands, I'd she has some
intent to kill when she crushes someone with her tentacles. Jeramun may
simply be unable to control himself."

Erikka says in a soft, sweet voice, "When I was there, she was moving
south, quite slowly actually."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "A golden horn, yes."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "South?"

Salisa says to Aralaya in a whimsical voice, "Opposite of north."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Why south, the flame of Yggdrasil
is north from where she is."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Aye, south. And Jeruman from the
north."

Andrasi says to Taryius in a singsong voice, "He doesn't seem to -try- to
kill anyone. His heat just.. does it to anyone who's there."

Aegoth says, "The Sorceress was extremely amiable to the notion of being
awoken, it seemed."

Shevonne says in a sweet, feminine voice, "Gloern is standing by Jeramun
now, unscathed."

Taryius says to Aegoth with a Blackrock accent, "Quite unfriendly. I even
flew out to greet her."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Where is this
horn now?"

Taryius says to Shevonne with a Blackrock accent, "Give it time."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Jeramun is jsut misunderstood."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "It disintegrated in the
process of summoning her."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "So we can assume that was its sole
purpose then."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Perhaps the other two have
important artefacts relating to their summoning."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "The horn had a palpable
aura of purpose in calling some strange unknown power."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "So unless the
horn resurfaces, or the Sorceress moves, we have naught to go on there."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Erikka mentioned she was moving
slowly south."

Zenui says, "Seems like we're waiting for another clue."

Rekken says to Krypton in a deep, resonant voice, "Did the horn
disintegrate, or disappear?"

Salisa says in a whimsical voice, "He said disintegrate."

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "It vanished into the air,
rather than crumbled into dust or whatnot."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Semantics are key. It could have
vanished to somewhere else."

Rekken says to Krypton in a deep, resonant voice, "Did you blow it in
Ka'doloki?"

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "Yikes."

Rekken quietly goes, "Boom."

Aegoth says, "Intelligence strikes again."

Prythe says in a firm, but gentle voice, "That went well."

Shevonne says in a sweet, feminine voice, "And Taryius was correct."

Aegoth says, "Speaking of which."

Dortheron says in a deep, almost purring voice, "We didn't start the fire."

Aegoth says, "Is everyone ready for me to blow them up, for science?"

Krypton says in a glacial, winter-evoking voice, "The horn would not sound
outside of Ka'doloki."

Shirszae asks with a faded Kamleikanese accent, "...What possible reason
might the sorceress have to go south? And is it completely unrelated from
Jeramun heading south-ish for the most part?"

Taryius says to Aegoth with a Blackrock accent, "Please, if we do that do
it in the opposite direction of the Flame."

Farrah says to Aegoth, "I do not imagine here is the best locale for that."

Taryius says with a Blackrock accent, "Then we can learn what he is drawn
too."

Shevonne says in a sweet, feminine voice, "Do it in Mhaldor."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "We should do it back in North
Reach."

Aegoth says, "Books can be replaced."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Yes, let us not
draw the fire elemental to the library."

Vika says in a soft-spoken voice, "Yes, let us burn down Mhaldor's
library."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "If we go to Northreach it might
draw him away from the populated cities."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "He's been heading south-southeast.
Best to attempt it north of him, to see if it changes direction."

Vika says in a soft-spoken voice, "And see him say that."

Rekken says in a deep, resonant voice, "Southwest, rather. Directions are
hard."

Aegoth says, "Fine then. Let's all go to northreach to die."

Aralaya says in a soft, soprano voice, "So, we're going to Northreach
then?"

Aegoth says, "Whoeever wants to die in glory, follow me."

Shevonne says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum in a
sweet, feminine voice, "Thank you."

Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum says, "Very well then,
I haven't got much to offer, but I hope we have provided some insight to
those who did not know much, and some options to those who offered
information to us today."

Aralaya says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum in a
soft, soprano voice, "Thank you for calling us all together."

Rekken says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum in a
deep, resonant voice, "Your efforts to collate information are
appreciated."

Penwize says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum, "It's
rather helpful having a neutral party calling information together."

Jayden smiles and says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian
Athenaeum with a refined Shallamese accent, "Indeed, you have our
collective gratitude."

Solfege says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum in a
lilting, silken-soft voice, "Thank you."

Krypton says to Nissa, the Head Archivist of the Lucretian Athenaeum in a
glacial, winter-evoking voice, "Perhaps the vigil can be convinced to hold
an audience yet."
