On solutions

Frey, and other doubters:

The majority of Sapience's accomplished actors moved as one. Some thought dousing fires would solve the issue, yes. They're not who I'm speaking of.

I'm well aware of what high-ranking Mhaldorians think, given I've a decent rank in Mhaldor, too. I recognized already that there is reason to be wary, but until a better plan presents itself there is no other solution.

The logic given is such: the elements must be balanced. This is obvious and reasonable for people with even a cursory understanding of elemental magic, the Elemental Lord's symbolism, or, well, common sense. You may disagree with the reasoning, but the reasoning is there.

It's clear to any that Jeramun rose because of the war on the elemental planes. It's clear that he, alone, will simply burn most of our world at best. We cannot stop the war on the elemental planes without first solving the issue at home, even if that's the ultimate goal.

You may choose to help, or you may choose to be an obstruction. If the four conduits being summoned proves to solve nothing, then we find another solution. It's not as if Jeramun alone isn't enough to destroy most of what we know, and the witch can be controlled to some extent with the horn. But this is the best lead we have so far--and we've looked into a lot of leads. Your idea of bringing the two together isn't even a possibility without the Vigil's help. You rely on the progress we've made with the Vigil, and yet you decry that they are not to be trusted in the same breath.

For now, summoning the witch will likely do little except move her out of particularly trafficked areas. I welcome any further ideas or leads on this matter, but 'no I don't want to help' is neither productive nor useful.

I repeat: no permanent solution to the Jeramun situation is in sight except to wake the other two conduits. I will likely next post when we have more clues, rather than get caught up in random arguments.
