Sapience!

Festivi Noctus returns with more arena fun! This time we bring you a Tournament of the Fang! The tournament is going to illustrate a period of time, one that many of us still look back upon and lament the losses, that needed pure strategic thinking. Much was lost in this time, some might say too much.

The Tournament will begin on 14th of Scarlatan, year 739. Our history lesson will take place a half day before as per usual at the Delosian Arena.

The first death was that of the Greater Dragon, Ashaxei (EVENTS 388). Her death caused the crater in El'Jazira, when she hit the ground after her failed attempt to escape (EVENTS 390). The Flame that many of us were reborn from ages ago, began burning newcomers to the realms rather than allowing them to be reborn into their new lives (EVENTS 392). Adventurers were unable to be immolated in the weakened Flame as well (EVENTS 393). Shrines were befouled and converted to shrines of the Dala'myrr (EVENTS 394). Bal'met was summoned by the Dala'myrr (EVENTS 395). Lord Hermes lost a coin toss, shocking all of Sapience (EVENTS 396). The Divine went forth in an attack on Bal'met, the Twin Lords appeared in defense of this god, and killed Lady Kastallia, Lord Lupus and His werewolves attempted to attack Bal'met as well. Lord Lupus was knocked senseless, and carried off by Lady Selene. He was placed in His temple, in hopes He would soon regain His senses. He remains there to this day, still unconcious (EVENTS 397).

There is no way I can possibly cover the losses and events in a single news post. As I mention each divine that we lossed, I imagine many of you have a thought, a laugh, before remembering in sadness a divine you followed, if you're old enough, or even one you interacted with. Many of you have no idea what I am talking about beyond what you've read. I urge you all to read carefully. This history is not very old, and many Achaeans still feel the loss of the individial Divine, or city, keenly.

On that note, this arena event will be scored much like the previous ones, the final three with in the arena and their respective deaths will be first, second and third.

That being said, once again, don't forget your tickets to the Festivi Noctus Ball that are on sale until the first of Glacian. Also don't forget the essay contest that is running until Glacian as well.

Good luck to you all,
Ireth Trismegistus

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Aeguary, in the year 739 AF.
