Lessons

Greetings to the East and to the Dawnlord in particular,

Fire, light, ash and dust. I admit I find an existence that only requires the recycling of those words bemusing. I will not quibble over details or bore the rest of Sapience with a lengthy diatribe but we are the Order of Words, Story and Song and it will not do to not give you a reply when you have so painstakingly clucked and made noise like a drenched hen.

Silas, you told me that you would personally see every visible mark of His influence removed from Sapience. I pity you for the impossible task that you've set before yourself. You know so little for someone who styles himself protector of all Creation. You can raze all our shrines as much as you want--it matters not. The Lord Bard's influence is felt every time mortals recount the past, raise their voice in song or set an image to canvas. The Song will endure.

Our shrines will turn to ash and dust but that is fitting poetry. Let Sapience look upon the cold and useless ashes and know the truth--that is the fate that will befall all if Targossas has its way.

In Service to Song and Story,
Kaden Vas'amaen-Ashaela,
Weave of Discipline and Aureate Avatar of Art

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Lupar, in the year 644 AF.
