A response

Written by: Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer

Addressed to: Dunn Lichlord, Herald of the Outer Cold

Dunn,

Your tired and tireless grandstanding, and your desperate pleas for the attention of Their servants, shall ever be a source of amusement for us all.

As you remember your walk through the streets of sunken Shallam, perhaps you might also reminisce on what it was like to be allowed shrines outside of your city. Perhaps you might just turn your attention forward, and stop living in the past - in the shadow of Tanris Rozzan.

You see, Dunn, we have moved on. We are not Shallam. We are Targossas: the Dawnspear; the one true beacon of Good, of Light, and of Righteousness in this blighted land.

Never fear, though; it won't be long before we declare our longstanding superiority over Mhaldor and turn our attention northwards. Sartan's horde, or the pitiful whelps that remain, have followed Twilight and Hashan in succumbing to the might and majesty of the Bloodsworn.

That leaves one.

Soon enough, Righteous Fire will cleanse the taint of Chaos from your twisted and blackened heart. Soon enough, Light will flood the streets of Ashtan, and your people will be released from the lie under which they hold themselves, servants to a Mad God who cares nothing for them, and whose only goal is to bring all this to an end.

Soon enough, Dunn, your eyes will be opened to the Truth.

I pray only that you will have the strength then to face up to what you see.

In Their name,

Silas Maynard de l'Evanoir
Dawnlord of Targossas

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Lupar, in the year 630 AF.
