A truly gracious and merciful offer, or so it would seem. Although of
course I would expect one so versed in the Truths to understand that
true strength comes not from taking the path of least resistence when
faced with adversity. But then, master Cain, your post seems to suggest
that strength was never the true goal of Mhaldor, merely power. I have
no doubt your offer will draw the attention of some opportunists and
cause them to flock to your destructive cause.

I however shall not be accepting your offer of amnesty. I do not intend
to lie down for what you seem to presume to be the inevitable. And when
the tides turn, as they always do, perhaps you will find strength once
more.
