Poetry News Post #5213

I have, Observed

I find that what is not said sometimes says more than spoken word.
And an answer given freely is less loved then those sought, endured.

One can shout out a sermon, sing a song, or speak a word.
But alas, if day to day you act a different truth, you simply look absurd.

Some see the world through glasses that tint everything they see.
I have spent more time looking in than out and came to realize, reluctantly, that the more I tried to color the world the way I wanted it to be the less I felt like who I was and the more lost I...became less free.

I stopped seeking words to show my path.
I stopped using my blade to paint it red.
For once I closed my eyes and listened to my heart, instead.

I have come here whether by luck or intent
through the good and bad that has ensued.

And while I am smiling as I write this post I must ask,

Are you still, Amused?

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Daedalan, in the year 746 AF.
