Grave Beneath The Sea

Ever-changing winds of years
Gentle, carrying waves
Slashing sails, the next
North! No, South!
East! West!

Waiting in the distance
A safe harbour beckoning
An angel's guiding light
Her ship docked, floating

Whispers of love in the dark
Promises made
Passion shared
He would move mountains
Her trust given

Night fallen
Her lover gone
Tears sinking
Down, down, down...
Heavy waters crushing hopes
Lost, abandoned ship
Grave beneath the sea.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Phaestian, in the year 735 AF.
