New Beginnings

Mother, I am grateful
For this family you have given me.
A family not quite as hateful
As my last one use to be.

This family you have given me
Has welcomed me with open arms.
My last one use to be
Without this family's many charms.

You've welcomed me with open arms
To a family not at all hateful
For this family's many charms,
Mother, I am grateful.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Phaestian, in the year 662 AF.
