Poetry News Post #4739

gasping

Written by: Nixxe Ashaela, Scarlatti's Weaver of Imagination
Date: Tuesday, August 5th, 2014
Addressed to: Everyone

Time slips through fingertips
Words from the lips
You have my heart and soul
Into this cascade I fall
Soaking in the rain
Romping in the snow
Borrowing lightning for a foe
Learning both pleasure and pain
Sleeping in the boughs
Offering to the gods
Sucking up my fears
Living up to my goals
Waiting on time
And gasping as it goes

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Scarlatan, in the year 661 AF.
