Darkness

From the North East darkness spreads throughout the land
Moon the only light, shimmering at the songs hand

The time that He sleeps
Leads to whispers that give you the creeps

Light runs to defeat the darkness of chaos and night
All else knowing that something just isn't right

Armoured feet marching, every step echoing fear
Listening for the lies, hearing every heartbeat clear

The safety only found inside your head, so you pray
But goodness knows that the darkness is here to stay

Until the sun rises again in the morning
Then the night will disappear without warning

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Phaestian, in the year 649 AF.
