Poetry News Post #4553

There is a pulse

Written by: Nixxe Ashaela, Scarlatti's Weaver of Imagination

Addressed to: Everyone

I won't be frightened by the lighting anymore
One dream stayed with me through it all
I won't stand here waiting after all
Two times made mistakes too sore
I can't let it go. It won't let me go.
I don't dwell, but dwell it does on the ego
Three times hope but none go through
For thee I hope eyes see beyond me
For every breath I hastily drew
Prithee remember in lieu
It was never against you
Monkeys gumming the works
dark shadows where the creep lurks
Pass the capacity of ecstasy and reality
lingering in wishes, acting on impulse
Missing the turn, running adrift

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Scarlatan, in the year 644 AF.
