Good Intentions

Written by: Sylphic Scarlattan, Harley Ashaela, Quixotic Coquette

Winding through poppies
As I try to forget
Their bleeding faces stare
And all I feel is regret

Through vividness
Dreams spun in reverse
Nightmares waiting
Twist all into a curse

Lies fall from lips
Laced in good intentions
How quickly renounced
With weight of deception

I open my mouth
To find it already asked
Gaping, tumbling
Fumbling, unmasked

Opiates take me away
From this reality
All bare and raw
I relinquish sanity

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Scarlatan, in the year 639 AF.
