Poetry News Post #4433

sucker

Written by: Nixxe Ashaela, Scarlatti's Weaver of Imagination

Addressed to: Everyone

you took it
right out from under me
the fun
the place I wanted to be
now in tears
enter in all my old fears
here, there is no sun
the cave in my mind
quiet and damp
no place in kind
you think it's the right thing
that I was just a sling
but you were my lamp
the light at the end of the cave
I was quickly enthralled
you made a great save
but now here I sit
just not fit
I'd rather be mauled
onward so lured

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Scarlatan, in the year 637 AF.
