Alone in the dark

Written by: Librarian Serendi El'Jahiem, Oathbreaker

Lonliness, it creeps at you
like a cold fog
Engulfing you in its wary tendrils
choking you like smog

There is no one around
to hear your beating heart,
all you wish to do
is depart

You are frightened
A madman may lurk in the dark
the slightest sound
like a calling lark

calling for you
the sinister night
Coldness.
like a blight

Someone come
for you
to make you feel at ease
and not eschew.

only one person is left
I am afraid
and that is you
the quavering maid.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Scarlatan, in the year 634 AF.
