Poetry News Post #4330

only the sun and moon for you

Written by: Nixxe, Scarlatti's Weaver of Imagination
Date: Monday, June 17th, 2013
Addressed to: Everyone

Looking at the night sky
plucking constellations
from your cave
all things die
into the sunset
not a word
nothing to save
Picking tearful flowers
imagine what would have been
strongest of my kin
left too soon
Stories and pictures but glimpses
a brilliant life
things got too big
you left the strife
never forgotten
owing one life
love you, Father
forever in my soul
source of light
in my night

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Scarlatan, in the year 628 AF.
