Well since my last poem was received so well i thought i would write and
post a new one. i hope you guys enjoy this one just as much.

These words came to me after an encounter i had...

The fairest in the land

There is a maiden I have met.
who is as beautiful as a sunset.
Her eyes sparkle merrily,
Whenever she smiles at me.

Her wings are beautiful like a dream,
And she is clumsy it would seem.
Clumsiness is kind of cute,
But she seems smart to boot.

Her face is like sunshine after the rain,
It makes me want to be there to stop the pain.
I would do anything within my power,
To see her smile for an hour.

Her smiles are like air to me,
Without them im not sure I could breathe.
To the heavens I would soar,
If her attention she would give me more.

When im near her my heart beats fast,
Lords and Ladies I hope it lasts.
My hearts been broken before,
But being with her makes it less sore.

Im afraid to approach her fore she is new,
So for now my heart will stew.
If the timing is ever right,
I will tell her she holds my light.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Sarapin, in the year 626 AF.
