Gentle Musings

Written by: Scarlattan Vyln de Irna, Blending Concertante
Date: Thursday, January 24th, 2013
Addressed to: Everyone

Harp in hand, I stare ahead,
Heart in throat, my feet frozen.
I feel expectant eyes on me,
There is no choice: I step on stage.

Those were many years before
Back when I was you and new
Hesitant of my chosen path
Doubting my spirit and strength in me.

Stumbling along, I found my way,
Nurtured a passion, unquenchable fire.
Fell in love with the Great Bard,
Found a home in His commune.

Now, a teacher, musician, Scarlattan,
Pride suffuses the fibre of my being.
Yet, never have I forgotten my beginnings,
Even now, it inspires me ever onwards.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Chronos, in the year 616 AF.
