The End

The end

Dry bones creak and bend
The scent of decaying muscle
And sinew, weaving together
Digging, as cold rain flows
Through veins of blood
Dark, deep sockets, eyeless dart
With each pump of a beating heart
Old fingers creak and bend
Brushing through thinning hair
Luscious black framing
Lashes dark, eyes bright,
A gentle flush beneath the skin
A steady rhythm from within
Soft lips, quiet whispers
Spoken firsts, cooing laughter
Young eyes wide, small hands
Reaching forward

The beginning

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Miraman, in the year 616 AF.
