A River Song

The brook babbles,
a salmon jumps,
this is the song of the River.

The stream cascades,
a rush so wild,
such is the song of the River.

The lake so still,
a drop, a ripple,
a note in the song of the River.

The pulling current,
a swaying marsh plant,
a dance to the song of the River.

The fluvial Lady,
a Lily so fair,
a voice to the song of the River.

A sacrifice,
A moonlit tear,
now hushed is the song of the River.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Chronos, in the year 610 AF.
