Announce News Post #4848

A piece of rare news

We've just made some promotional tweaks based on some of the feedback we've received.

The first of these concerns the extravagant stocking tier. Given these are much higher priced than the other stocking types, we've made two changes here:
- Extravagant stockings will now always give pieces of 700 credit item worth or higher (this means you'll no longer pull pieces for shackles etc).
- Extravagant stockings will now always give two pieces (as previously), but you'll also have a 50% and then a 25% chance of receiving another piece (so a potential total of 4). Both of these pieces are constrained by the same rarity threshold as the guaranteed two (800 item worth or higher).

If you've purchased extravagant stockings previously this month, we will both be rerolling the second two pieces for you for each purchase so you'll get what you would get now, as well as rerolling former two pieces on request. Essentially, tell us the piece you got in your extravagant stocking that you feel wasn't worth it, and we'll swap it for one that fits the new criteria.

Our second change concerns gold and platinum stockings, and is shamelessly stolen from Aetolia. There is now a pool of four otherwise auction only artefacts that are available in these stockings. Only -one- of each will be given out, so consider it a lottery with your gold and platinum stocking as your ticket. Here are the items:

At the normal stocking tier, a red-handled inkbrush is up for grabs. This inkbrush completely removes the need for red ink in all things, be it tattoos or runes or anything else.

At the fancy tier, a perma-lit pipe that holds up to 20 puffs of whatever herb is placed within.

At the grand tier, a notoriety token. This item increases your ally and enemy capacity by five, stacking with other modifiers such as traits.

At the extravagant tier, a Landstriders visor. This item will expand your radius of visibility when on the overhead map (so wilderness and ships, etc). It increases your radius by five, stacking with other modifiers.

Good luck!
