Shikudo

By decree of the Grandmaster from Judgement Mountain, Shikudo has returned to Sapience.

Shikudo is a new primary skill for monks that, rather than utilising punches and kicks, uses a fighting staff and kicks. For those unaware of the history, this is the original fighting style of the Sentaari monks, which was later replaced with Tekura during the Wars of Succession.

So, how do you learn Shikudo?

Shikudo is a more advanced fighting style in many ways, so it requires you first transcend Tekura fully. After you have done so you will gain access to a new ability in Tekura (PATH). This ability will allow you to switch to the new skill, at which point you will be able to learn Shikudo. Your progress in both skills is stored separately, so you may switch back and forth between the two, though this costs 100 lessons and may only be done so once every 24 hours.

Those of you that wish to learn Shikudo should visit the Grandmaster on Judgement Mountain and DEMONSTRATE the KRULL kata, which may only be performed by someone who has mastered Tekura. If you do so successfully, he shall direct you further. We also advise reading HELP SHIKUDO for further details.

We advise demonstrating your proficiency before picking up Shikudo, so you do not get stuck in the Shikudo skill without being able to learn it.

Enjoy!

Penned by My hand on the 13th of Chronos, in the year 742 AF.
