Marching on into March!

With the month of March comes a new promotion! We're unveiling a new talisman set! For every 100 credits you purchase on the website you'll receive one piece from this new promotion, and every five pieces you are guaranteed at least one rare piece!

So, what's the talisman set? This set is themed for the races of Achaea. There is one talisman themed for each playable race, and a special talisman themed for the Aldar for those that successfully complete the entire set. All of these artefacts (bar one) are completely new! Here are the new talismans:

A dwarven lodestone: DROPping this lodestone in a mine you own will cause all miners in that mine to have increased experience gain. This does not apply to soldiers, only to miners. A mine can only have one lodestone in it at a time and said lodestone will be returned to the owner once that mine collapses. Themed for dwarves, valued at 100 credits.

A shamanistic rattle: this rattle gives one a limited amount of control over the weather. Simply by SHAKEing RATTLE, a random weather effect will take place. These range from rainstorms, to conjured snowstorms, to the very rare (and best avoided) lightning strikes. Themed after the Atavian race. Valued at 300 credits.

A collapsible catapult: These marvels of siege weaponry were popularly used by the legendary Mercenaries of Arn. SETUP CATAPULT will set this weapon up in a room. Then anyone may ENTER CATAPULT to climb into the basket, at which point the owner may FIRE CATAPULT <direction>, launching that person in the given direction. Where they come down is completely random (and is sure to be unpleasant for your wayward volunteer), but it is based on the area of the direction you fire in. Think of the possibilities! If you've ever struggled to infiltrate enemy cities, you can now do it in style. This talisman is themed for the Troll race. Valued at 600 credits.

A blood daubed cloth of whispers: when wearing this cloth, the next time you slay an adventurer there will be absolutely no deathsight. This cloth is only good for one use an hour. Themed for the Rajamala race. Valued at 400 credits.

A demolition sphere: ACTIVATE SPHERE to destroy all ice, stone, and lightwalls in a location. These spheres have five charges and regenerate one charge per hour. (Note: this is not per Achaean day, the timer starts from when you ACTIVATE the sphere.) Themed for the Mhun race. Valued at 500 credits.

A piece of horkval chitin: this fragment of chitin will allow you to tap into a hivemind, granting the ability to siphon your endurance to another adventurer. HIVE SIPHON <amount> TO <person>. If the person you are siphoning to also has the talisman, there is no loss of endurance in the transfer. If they do not, there is a 25% loss of endurance in the transfer. Naturally, themed for the Horkval race. Valued at 300 credits.

A flattened frogskin: this somewhat odd collectable allows one to FORM BUBBLE when underwater. This will create a bubble around that person, granting the racial regeneration that grooks enjoy. For as long as the bubble is present, it will also act as if you are in a water body for the purposes of said regeneration. However, if your health dips below half, the bubble will burst, and you will need to return to an underwater location to re-establish it. Themed for the Grook race. Valued at 800 credits.

A pernicious pair of Dala'myrr claws: these deadly claws function similarly to wolverine claws in that they grant the ability to burrow. However, they have different tunnelling messages, and upon burrowing below and above, rubble will be created in the entry and exit rooms, blocking a random exit. Themed for the Xoran race. Valued at 700 credits.

Bottled siren song: OPEN BOTTLE and all in your current location will cease to consider you a personal enemy. Additionally, they will be unable to re-enemy you for a short time. OPENing comes with a cooldown. Themed for the Siren race. Valued at 500 credits.

Crystalline panpipes: these mysterious panpipes allow one to PLAY PANPIPES <dream>. All in your location will then see that dream when they next sleep, in place of the first dream they would normally see. In addition, hearing these panpipes conveys a sleep style effect, stripping insomnia if present and inducing sleep if it is not. Themed for the Satyr race. Valued at 280 credits.

An arachnid's eye: the spider mounts of the ancient Tsol warriors were ferocious in battle. FEED <eye> TO <mount> and you can imbue a mount with a fragment of said potency. A mount that has been fed an eye will gain the ability to TRAMPLE <target>, a targeted single person attack that shall break two random limbs on a target and deal some damage. This does not require the target to be prone like standard trample, but does require you to possess the TRAMPLE ability in Riding to utilise. Note: this item is consumed on use. Themed for the Tsol races. Valued at 100 credits.

A figurine of the suffering Maya: this figurine of the mother of humanity conveys the ability to store the damage from world-shattering or plane-razing critical hits, allowing you to transfer that damage over to the next target you strike (providing you do so swiftly). Note: this will not allow you to transfer the damage if you attempt to strike an uncrittable denizen with said transfer prepared. Themed for the human race. Valued at 1500 credits.

A double headed coin: themed for the Aldar, this is the reward for completing the entire races talisman set.

If you find yourself with an excess of pieces that you're unable to trade for whatever reason, all talisman pieces from the races set are redeemable for ten credits each. The full talismans trade in for 2/3 of their worth.

Enjoy!
