It began, long ago, in the distant past, when someone decided that 'Haha' should mean laughing without conviction. To the perpetual frustration of many who intended to demonstrate their boisterous nature by using the Haha verb, it did exactly that.

Today, I have thrown off the yoke of jocular oppression and cast my lot in with the rebel optimists, who laugh -with- conviction, thankyouverymuch.

Henceforth, may no man, woman, child, beast, or even jester fall prey to the terrible deceit that was Haha. Henceforth, when one intends to Haha, one will darn well Haha as one probably intended.
