QUITTING IN LUSTERNIA - GAME, GUILD, CITY, OR OTHERWISE - Lusternia Online Help

2.2.4 QUITTING IN LUSTERNIA - GAME, GUILD, CITY, OR OTHERWISE

Two completely different topics are covered here: (1) quitting the game, as in,
leaving Lusternia to return some time later, and (2) quitting an organisation
of which you are a member.

QUITTING THE GAME
-----------------
Quitting from Lusternia is accomplished simply by typing QUIT or QQ. When you
quit, your character and equipment is saved. There is no need to explicitly
save your character before you quit. When you type quit, there will be a delay
of a few seconds. This is to prevent people from quitting as soon as they are
attacked, for this is a very frowned-upon action. You can abort the QQ or QUIT
any time during the brief delay by typing STOP. Also if you take any damage
during this time you will also stop your exit.

You may also use QUIT to leave your guild, city, or clan. To quit an order,
the syntax is RENOUNCE PATRON (see HELP RENOUNCE).

QUITTING YOUR ORGANIZATION
--------------------------
The QUIT command also applies to cities, guilds, and clans. More on guilds
below. The QUIT command does not work for divine orders: you must use
RENOUNCE PATRON in that case.

QUITTING YOUR GUILD (See also HELP CHANGINGGUILDS)
----------------------------
This includes however you leave your guild - meaning, if you quit, or you are
removed from your guild via outguilding.

QUIT or OUTGUILD in ALL OTHER CASES
-----------------------------------
You retain all class skills learned. You are now a 'rogue', however, as you are not associated with any guild.

The tricky part for the rogue comes next. You have several choices:
1 - Stay a rogue. You will still have access to feat skills that are tied to
a nexus of power so long as you maintain membership in the city or
	commune of that nexus.
2 - Join another guild in your city or commune. You get a guild! This also
provides another chance or opportunity to find a niche in the community.
3 - Join a guild in a different city or commune. This invariably leads to the
need to forget multiple skills and can be costly in lessons.
